Membership

Come Join Us !

We invite you to consider membership in Temple Beth Israel. “Shul Shopping” and then making a decision about a synagogue can be challenging to say the least. You have to be comfortable with your choice. We want to reach out to those who are currently unaffiliated as well as those who have never been affiliated with a synagogue. Whether single or married, old or young, same faith or interfaith, all are welcome at Temple Beth Israel.

Our congregation promotes the enduring and fundamental principles of Reform Judaism through worship, the study of Torah, service to our synagogue community, and commitment to social justice. We encourage our members to participate in our many activities such as educational programs, social action projects, interfaith programs, Chavurah groups, Brotherhood (Men of Reform Judaism), and Sisterhood (Women of Reform Judaism), just to name a few.

We are quite proud of our new partnership with the new Jewish Community School overseen by Rabbi Adam Lutz of Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills and our site director, Eliana Rubin. Along with guidance from Rabbi Kupetz and our lay leadership, JCS@TBI provides primary Jewish education for our K-7 students.  Our TBI Preschool and Daycare, long respected in the local community, has evolved to become the Tree of Life Children’s Center, with an expanding range of programs. We are very fortunate to have a top-notch professional staff that leads our efforts to be a place of learning, prayer, and assembly in all these areas.

We recommend that you call the synagogue office (909-626-1277) to confirm the time for any activity that you wish to attend. Members are kept informed about the schedule of Temple activities by receiving the Temple newsletter, The Kehillah, and periodic e-mail updates. Please contact us for a prospective member packet that contains an array of materials that will introduce you to our synagogue and all of its wonderful programs and activities.

Hopefully you will find the feelings of warmth and closeness in our sanctuary to be representative of our entire congregation. If you have an questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We wish you well in your search for a synagogue and we would be most pleased to count you among our members

L’Shalom,
The TBI Membership Committee
