K'HILAT CHESED - OUR CARING COMMUNITY APRIL 2008

Our Caring Community Mitzvah Mavens continue to maintain their high level of Caring to our members who appreciate their services.

After experiencing a relatively quiet February, March proved, once again, that we really do care.

Terry Merkin is on the mend. After winning his bout with the flu, Terry needed assistance following a fall from his bicycle, hurting his wrist. Visits, meals, phone calls, cards, all helped. Of particular mention is the instant help given Terry by Marc Ringer. One less-than-a-minute phone call, and Marc was on his way to Kaiser Fontana ER, where he took food, and spent most of the night with Terry. What a guy!

Terry is profuse with his thanks for all the assistance he received, and has volunteered his services for Caring Community help.

Edde Neidich continues to heal from his hand surgeries, and thanks all who helped him with rides, visits, meals, and clerical help from caring members.

Rabbi Kupetz has lent his advice in creating a new form for you to let us know your choices for expressing your caring desires. We feel that the most significant part of that form is the ‘Other’ choice. On that line you can let us know the way you could get the most satisfaction in the way you want to show your caring character.

We are working with our Chavurot as part of our Caring Network. Friends Caring for Friends. We will be working with Sisterhood and Brotherhood, who have the ability to take active parts within our Caring Network. One does not have to belong to any of our affiliates to benefit from, nor to provide benefits to, our members. We are ONE!
